Beginning the interview process

Today we interviewed Dr. Benjamin Chavis for the film. Dr. Ben and I have worked together for the past five or six years beginning with the Hip-Hop Summit and then as producers on the film Rap Sheet: Hip-Hop and the Cops. He has a great voice and screen presence and I feel he was a perfect choice to have on the trailer Don Sikorski and I are going to cut in the next couple of weeks. I am scheduled to interview Rosa Clement next week to get the grass roots activist viewpoint on film which I also feel will be important for the overall story during the election. So its makes sense to have the both of them in the trailer speaking about the involvement of Hip-Hop in the 2008 election.
